ESPAÑOL: Durante el 2023 e inicios del presente año, la Escuela Federico Salazar, ubicada en Diagonal Reny 1601, Comuna de Cerro Navia ha sido más que un espacio educativo; esta escuela se ha transformado en un espacio de encuentro para 137 familias del Campamento Violeta Parra que actualmente se encuentran dispersas en la región Metropolitana luego de que en mayo del 2023 se llevará a cabo el desalojo del terreno en que vivían. A partir de este hecho, la comunidad escolar abrió sus puertas de manera generosa, acogiendo y prestando sus instalaciones para que mensualmente la organización Enlace de la mano del Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo de Chile, pudiera convocar y acompañar a vecinas y vecinos brindando herramientas y directrices para que estas fueran capaces de regularizar su situación habitacional y migratoria.

En agradecimiento a esta hospitalidad y como un acto simbólico de solidaridad, hemos decidido emprender un proyecto que no solo embellecerá el entorno de la escuela, sino que también tiene como finalidad fortalecer el lazo de nuestra organización con la comunidad y sus colaboradores además de marcar un hito de cierre de este enriquecedor proceso.

El objetivo del proyecto es consolidar a la Escuela Federico Salazar como un punto de encuentro para la comunidad de Cerro Navia. Queríamos convertir la cancha en un espacio vibrante y colorido, lleno de vida y alegría. Tenemos la intención de que este proyecto no solo embellece el colegio, sino que también cree un ambiente propicio para el encuentro y la conexión.

Esta intervención se presenta como una oportunidad para consolidar a la escuela, como un espacio diverso, convocante y seguro. Queremos revitalizar el núcleo, “la cancha”, uno de los espacios que se configuran como el corazón del encuentro para la comunidad escolar.

During 2023 and the beginning of this year, the Federico Salazar School, located at Diagonal Reny 1601, Cerro Navia commune, has been more than an educational space; this school has transformed into a meeting point for 137 families from the Violeta Parra Camp, who are currently scattered in the Metropolitan Region after being displaced from their homes in May 2023. In response to this, the school community generously opened its doors, welcoming and lending its facilities to the Enlace organization, in partnership with the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism of Chile, to gather and support neighbors by providing tools and guidance for them to regularize their housing and migratory situations.

In gratitude for this hospitality and as a symbolic act of solidarity, we have decided to undertake a project that will not only beautify the school's surroundings but also aims to strengthen the bond between our organization and the community, marking a milestone in the closure of this enriching process.

The project's objective is to consolidate the Federico Salazar School as a meeting point for the Cerro Navia community. We aim to transform the sports field into a vibrant and colorful space, full of life and joy. Our intention is for this project not only to beautify the school but also to create a conducive environment for meeting and connection. This intervention presents an opportunity to consolidate the school as a diverse, inviting, and safe space. We want to revitalize the core, "the sports field," one of the spaces that constitute the heart of the meeting for the school community.
